North 21 Ltd, also known as Japanese 木 Lumber, was founded to simplify the process of acquiring Japanese native timbers, specifically Sugi and Hinoki. Our mission is to directly connect buyers with mill owners, eliminating the need to navigate through a complex network of brokers, traders, and intermediaries, while also overcoming cultural and language barriers.

Our team boasts extensive experience in the timber industry. Graham, with 45 years of experience, brings a deep understanding of both small and medium-sized enterprises and corporate operations in Japan. Ren complements this with his academic background from Doshisha University in Kyoto and his time at Auckland University. His two-year residency in Tokyo and Shizuoka has given him profound insights into the local market dynamics.

Since our establishment in 2015, North 21 Ltd has been dedicated to building and maintaining strong relationships with mill owners and timber sellers throughout Japan. This strategic networking enables us to confidently offer specialized services and high-quality timber products to our discerning clients.
